Well it has been a busy year hasn't it? Starting commercially just a little over a year ago, LightEyez has gone through a lot of changes. Therefore, I thought it would be good opportunity, to use our first blog entry to recap and introduce our company and myself to all our current and future customers. Hey Everyone, My name is Charlie Carmichael and I am the CEO of LightEyez Ltd. I am a former Doctor of 25+ years and created LightEyez five years ago with the intention of finding a permenant solution to changing peoples eye colour. And I have been here ever since. I believe in everything we do and most importantly I believe in all of our products. I welcome your comments on all things, please direct any of your thoughts, by emailing me at: [email protected] !!! :) Well now that the introductions are out of the way, lets get back to the changes :) LightEyez has gone from a small company, with a humble office in the suburbs, to a large office deep in the finance district of London. Our sales have increased 5000% since we first started, and we are now shipping to over one thousand customers a week. However, what we are most proud of, is that we consistently have repeat customers, which I believe is the most important factor in determining how well your business is doing and most importantly, whether consumers like your products. We have also expanded our operations alongside our growth. We now employ more packers and shippers than two months ago; in order to meet demand. And are happy to announce, that from today we are resuming dispatching all orders within three days, which I know you all will be very happy about. Do any of you remember our first (crummy) website? Well through several iterations, and some technical difficulties :) we have this shiny new one. Please let us know how you feel about our website and what you want changed and most importantly what you want added! We have begun to create further distribution channels, in the US, Through Ebay and Etsy and hopefully we will be able to expand through more distribution centres in Europe this coming year. Trying to handle sole distribution in the UK was not technically feasible, so we happily welcome all our new distributors into the LightEyez family :) We have also gone through some changes to our product portfolio, firstly with our Premium Range (which have received rave reviews) and now our New Advanced Range. Which you should definitely check out!, The science behind it and the innovations we have made to all get these ingredients into these eye drops, is simply amazing! We will be having another blog entry discussing these, in September, with (Mitch Powers, our Communications Officer). So also check that out ! We are also considering adding other products to the store, such as Organic Skincare and other Branded Skincare products. As well as other eye products, such as Eye Masks. Please sound off in the poll at the bottom, as to whether you think this is a good idea or not? We have also went through some lable iterations as well. Hopefully, now you will find the current labelling more useful? We fully understand our labelling is not ideal at present. However, we are in a process of finalising our full product line and once this is done, we will create, uniform, high DPI, waterproof labels, across the entire range. Despite a busy year, we do not plan to stop anytime soon. And we have a lot of exciting changes planned in both the short and medium term. We will be using this blog moving forward to keep you all updated. (My IT department has informed me that you can subscribe to this blog by clicking the RSS links to the right). As a preview, within the coming months, we plan to have a video with one of our study participants as well as a Q&A. They have (luckily for them, but slightly unlucky for us), secured a lucrative modelling contract and they are currently in Japan. So we are in the process of making arrangements to liaise to film. I also wanted to take my final words to discuss a topic dear to my heart and also one of our core values, 'Protecting the Environment'. At LightEyez we respect the Environment and we are committed to preserving it for current and future generations. This is why we opt to use minimal product packaging. We calculate, that just 5000 customers purchasing three drops in a year, equates to a minimum of 150,000 cardboard boxes that will likely end up in landfill. We believe that by using just Glass dropper bottles, that can be returned to us to be recycled or re-used by customers. We prevent the need for destroying trees for excess packaging and prevent all this cardboard reaching landfill. We are also committed to using recycled or reclaimed packaging for mailing, that is 100% recyclable. We hope that you will either reuse the packaging for your own mailing needs or recycle it. Further minimizing ours and your effect on the environment. Thank you for taking the time to read this blog entry. As I said we are more than happy to hear from every single one of you with comments, praises, concerns and suggestions. Please use the form below to get in touch and Michael B. Anderson, and the rest of our Customer relations department, will get back to you asap. Thanks Carlie Carmichael CEO LightEyez: The Eye Lightening Eye Drop |
